Holy Damn! If I was a religious man I would praise Jeebes for this coffee shop. After spending the first 33 years of my life in New Jersey, NYC, Boulder, and Portland (Oregon), I've been in Crookston Minnesota for the past two plus weeks. There's one coffee shop in town here, but it's filled with retarded people, bad books, and Folgers. Since there's nowhere else to hang out in the cesspool of racism, I decided to ride my bike 28 miles just for something resembling culture. I was not disappointed. The entire town of Crookston, I believe, has three bike racks, while just the surrounding quarter block near Urban Stampede has the same. I arrived at around 3:30 PM and it was busy enough to seem cool, but not so full that I felt awkward. The woman behind the counter was polite and friendly without being annoying, the coffee was cheap, dark, and came with a free refill, and I got a booth with my own personal lamp and four outlets. I hung out there for a couple hours without receiving the strange, crosseyed stares that I get in Crookston for being an outsider. I got a lot of work done (and by work I mean reading and writing) while being able to observe the interesting blend of people who came through the doors. Rain, sleet, hail, or snow I will be back at Urban Stampede as much as I possibly can before I finally manage to escape this strange section of the world.

Urban Stampede has the best mochas in town and their urban roast is to die for. If those two things don't do the job.. I can't help but come back for the atmosphere.

My boyfriend and I were looking for a quaint little coffee shop on our way from Devil's Lake, ND to Kansas City, MO. Based on other reviews from customers, we decided to try the Urban Stampede and absolutely loved it! Right away, we noticed the charm of the jars full of coffee beans, the quiet music, and the fixtures around the room. Since we were going for straight coffee, we skipped over the Specialty menu and headed for fresh brew. I tried the Rice Krispy Treat brew and fell in love. The smell alone would have been wonderful by itself but it was attached to a hearty and full coffee that completed the experience. The barista really took care of us and offered samples of the fresh brews. Our only regret was that we were just passing through and could not sit and enjoy the ambiance. In fact, on our way out of town, we were making plans to go to an NDSU football game and visit this AMAZING little gem in Grand Forks again!!

I went out of my way to get my coffee here on a recent trip to Grand Forks, based solely on the reviews. I was NOT disappointed. Located in a quaint area, near downtown... it sits on a corner with a little outside seating area. It is pretty spacious inside, and looks to get a lot of local/regular patrons. I ordered the grande espresso mocha and a fresh croissant. I was SUPER happy with both, this is so fast food quality coffee shop and if I ever return to Grand Forks I will come back.

The name alone made me want to visit as my surname is Urban. The other reviews helped seal my decision. Great location in downtown Grand Forks with plenty of street parking available. It's in an old building and has a very cool feel. Upon walking in there are so many cool things to look at from the ceiling, to the chandeliers, the artwork (which is for sale), wall murals, and an old safe towards the rear. It wasn't very crowded so there were plenty of choices in seating available. The employee that helped me was very nice and friendly. He made such a great caramel latte that I ended up getting two! Free wifi, and it was super fast too. Glad I stopped by and I can certainly recommend others do as well. Cheers.

So, I finally made it into this place after running the Frozen Feat 10k. Nice place to warm up! I just had an endless cup of coffee & a bagel & everything was good. There was only one girl working that day, so if there was a line sometimes it takes a bit to get a refill because they are kept behind the counter. But for $1.95 who can really complain? I sat and did work, free wifi, but for some reason my computer wouldn't connect to it. Nice place to chill and get some work done if you don't feel like being at home or office.

I have had good coffee here earlier, but my most recent visit was horrific. A salted caramel mocha which had to be thrown down the drain...literally! It was so salty, that it left my palette with a numb aftertaste! Seriously disappointed!

I think the coffee is some of the worst coffee in town. lol. I used to hang out there quit often, until one day I thought: why am I paying money for coffee I hate? I feel they need to clean out their coffee caraffs more or something ... not sure what it is. Other than that, I think it can be a fun place to hang out, meet people, find friends, so on.

In GF to check out UND from Los Angeles. Great coffee house vibe, coffee was bold and great. Barista was friendly and helped us find a dinner spot at rhombus. Recommendation was right on. Urban was awesome. We will be back.

Urban Stampede is the perfect escape from the monotony of Grand Forks. Stepping inside, you truly get to appreciate the classic charm with the beautifully adorn tin ceiling. The coffee is great, but the environment is what makes Urban Stampede a great destination. In the summer, out door seating is available allowing you to take in the slow pace of life on the streets of Grand Forks. The crowd is mainly older during the day grabbing a cup of coffee while on break from their place of employment. A younger crowd shows up a night mainly consisting of UND students and a few sprinklings of high schoolers. Urban Stampede is truly a gem in Grand Forks
